A job posting is stirring controversy.
The conditions require picking up two kids from kindergarten, feeding them, giving them a bath, and even cleaning the house.
The hourly wage offered for this part-time job is 14,000 won.
This is a post recently uploaded to a secondhand trading website.
The posting states that they are looking for someone to look after a 7-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl for 3 hours a day, from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
The poster wrote that they are a dual-income couple and hopes the worker will arrive an hour before the children come home to finish housework such as cleaning, and then take care of showers and dinner when the children return.
On top of that, they demanded agreement to CCTV installation, submission of a health certificate and a criminal record check, while also adding conditions such as refraining from using smartphones and watching TV during work hours. That is really a lot.
However, controversy arose because they offered an hourly wage of 14,000 won.
Netizens who saw the post criticized the low pay compared to the excessive workload, with comments such as, "With conditions like this, you are looking for a slave, not a helper."
