Russia and Ukraine have exchanged 103 prisoners of war each, Reuters, AFP, and other news agencies reported on the 19th (local time).
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy posted on social media that day, stating, "Servicemen from the State Border Guard Service and the National Guard have returned to their homeland," along with photos and videos of the returned prisoners.
Although peace talks between Russia and Ukraine, mediated by the United States, were suspended in February of this year due to the fallout from the Middle East situation, humanitarian exchanges such as prisoners of war and the remains of fallen soldiers continue to take place.
