A man in his 30s has been booked by police after crashing his vehicle into the exterior structure of a building in Gangnam, Seoul, and then leaving the scene.

The Seoul Gangnam Police Station announced today (the 19th) that it has booked a man in his 30s, identified as A, on charges of drunk driving for damaging the structure of a restaurant building near Apgujeong Station at 3:16 a.m. on the 17th.

According to the investigation, A caused the accident while driving a Tesla vehicle, parked the car nearby, and went to a club.

Responding to a report, the police analyzed closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, located A at a nearby club, and accompanied him voluntarily.

Subsequent breathalyzer testing showed that A's blood alcohol concentration was at a level warranting the revocation of his driver's license.

The police plan to determine the exact time A started drinking to further verify the circumstances of the drunk driving.
