A male photographer in his 30s has been arrested on charges of illegally installing a camera in a women's changing room at a wedding hall in Jung-gu, Seoul, and filming victims without their consent.

The Seoul Jungbu Police Station announced on the 18th that it has arrested a man in his 30s, identified as A, under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Crimes (filming using cameras or other devices).

A, a photographer who handles wedding shoots and other photography work, is accused of secretly installing a camera inside the women's changing room of the wedding hall to illegally film visitors.

It has been confirmed that the number of victims identified so far reaches about 10.

Police were dispatched in May after receiving a report from the wedding hall management and apprehended A.

Although A denied the charges, police confirmed that A's smartphone was connected to the illegal filming camera.

Subsequently, police conducted a forensic analysis of A's smartphone, secured illegal footage of around 10 women, and applied for an arrest warrant for A this month.

Police plan to forward A to the prosecution after wrapping up the investigation.
