At around 12:40 a.m. today (August 19), a 25-ton truck and a passenger car collided head-on on a national highway in Galsan-ri, Tangjeong-myeon, Asan, South Chungcheong Province.

As a result of the accident, the driver of the passenger car, a man in his 30s, was transported to a hospital in a state of cardiac arrest.

Police and firefighting authorities are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
