Controversy surrounding actor Ha-young's great-grandfather has reignited efforts to recover pro-Japanese assets.

The Pro-Japanese Property Investigation Committee, which had been closed for 16 years, is set to reopen this coming December.

This time, even if the assets are sold for cash, hidden away, or used to build hotels, the government will track down the proceeds and confiscate them to the very end.
