Festivals in Spain and Mexico that were meant to be joyful suddenly turned into disasters due to similar causes. During fireworks and pyrotechnics displays, flames swept over audiences, resulting in a wave of injuries.
In Spain, a firework launch accident occurred during a famous fireworks festival, sending explosives flying into a crowd of approximately 100,000 spectators. At least 27 people suffered burns, 14 of whom were transported to the hospital.
In Mexico, an accident occurred when a structure carrying fireworks collapsed, leaving 21 people, including spectators, with burns as they scrambled to escape the flames. Fortunately, reports indicate that no one sustained severe injuries requiring hospitalization.
