Democratic Party Floor Leader Han Byung-do announced, "We will undoubtedly hold a plenary session on the coming 20th to process livelihood bills directly tied to the lives of the public."

During a floor strategy meeting held at the National Assembly today (the 18th), Floor Leader Han emphasized this, stating, "Above all, the most urgent matter at the plenary session is legislation to support housing supply."

Mentioning the Urban Redevelopment Act, the Public Housing Act, and the Special Act on the Complex Development of School Sites, Floor Leader Han urged, "Since the People Power Party has raised its voice more than anyone else about the need to expand supply, I hope they will now show their sincerity through processing legislation rather than just empty words."

He added, "In addition to these, 113 bills, including the Act on the Honorable Treatment of May 18 Democratic Meritorious Persons and the National Basic Living Security Act, are awaiting action at the plenary session," noting that "36 livelihood bills that could not be wrapped up in the first half of the National Assembly are also included."

Targeting the People Power Party, Floor Leader Han pointed out, "Following their boycott of livelihood issues by delaying the formation of the second-half leadership committees, they are now refusing to hold a plenary session and pushing the lives of the public to the back burner," and added, "Politics that neglects the livelihoods of the people is the worst."

He stated, "We can no longer wait for the People Power Party, which shows no willingness to work," and warned, "I issue a warning to the People Power Party: we will no longer sit idly by and watch them block the processing of livelihood bills once again with meaningless filibusters."
