Bucheon FC professional football player Gallego has been recognized as the top performer in K League 1 over the past weekend.

The Korea Professional Football Federation announced on the 18th that Gallego has been selected as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) for Round 23 of the Hana Bank K League 1 2026.

Playing against Jeonbuk Hyundai at the Bucheon Stadium on the 16th, Gallego led his team to a 3-2 victory by recording one goal and one assist.

Gallego assisted Sung Ye-geon's opening goal during a counterattack in the 9th minute of the first half, and then found the back of the net himself in the 10th minute of the second half.

Bucheon was also chosen as the Round Best Team, and this match was selected as the Round Best Match.

The K League 1 Round Best XI features Gallego, Sung Ye-geon, and Kim Jong-woo (all from Bucheon); Anderson, Moon Seon-min, Yazan, and Koo Sung-yun (all from Seoul); Ferrier, Seo Jae-min, and Juan Ibiza (all from Incheon); and Matheus, Choi Geon-joo, and Kang Ji-hoon (all from Anyang).
