President Lee Jae-myung stated today (August 18) during the Ulchi State Council meeting presided over at the Blue House, "We must proceed seamlessly with the wartime operational control transfer within our term according to the original government plan."

President Lee said, "I hope that preparations for the establishment of the Korea National Defense Academy will also proceed without wavering."

In addition, he also requested, "Please accelerate the nuclear-powered submarine project, which will symbolize a more constructive and robust future for the South Korea-U.S. alliance."
