At around 4:40 a.m. today (August 18), a passenger car traveling in the third lane rear-ended an SUV on the Seoul Ring Expressway in Nooji-dong, Gyeyang-gu, Incheon.

The collision resulted in minor injuries for the drivers of both vehicles.

Due to the impact of the crash, a fire broke out that completely destroyed the passenger car and burned the rear section of the SUV.

Fire authorities responded to the scene following a report and fully extinguished the fire in about 30 minutes.

Police believe the driver of the passenger car, a woman in her 50s, failed to properly look ahead while driving in the early morning hours and are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
