Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Kim Jeong-gwan, who is visiting the United States to discuss US investment projects, stated that various working-level issues are emerging at the final stage, but vowed to resolve them with the goal of making an announcement as early as the end of August.
While explaining that there was no investment pressure from the US, Minister Kim noted that both countries share a consensus on accelerating the process.
Regarding the 15 percent tariff cap, he said he will do his utmost to uphold the spirit of the agreement between the two nations.
During his current visit to the US, Minister Kim is scheduled to meet with US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and other officials.
