Lyn's mother opened up about what she felt disappointed about regarding her daughter.

On the August 16 broadcast of the SBS variety show "My Little Old Boy," Lyn was featured taking a trip with her mother.

On this day, Lyn headed to Sokcho with her mother. In particular, this trip drew attention as it was their very first trip together alone.

After completing a Michelin tour led by Lyn, her mother headed to their final destination, a Sokcho ocean-view hotel.

However, upon arrival, no hotel was in sight. The ocean-view hotel prepared by Lyn was actually a "trunk hotel" utilizing the trunk of her own car.

There, they enjoyed food bought from the Sokcho market along with delivered dishes, creating a full Sokcho squid spread.

Enjoying the squid feast while taking in the ocean view, Lyn remarked, "It would have been nice if Dad and my sister had come along too." The mother and daughter naturally shared an honest conversation.

Lyn told her mother, who worries about her, "Don't worry too much," and asked, "I'm grateful to Mom, but you probably don't have anything to thank me for, right?"

In response, her mother smiled and said, "Well, though I gave birth to her, I sometimes wonder how I managed to have a daughter like this. Thank you for treating me so well. You're doing great."

Lyn then said, "Tell me if you were ever disappointed in me, I'll fix it." Hearing this, her mother hesitated for a long time before carefully opening up.

Lyn's mother mentioned Lyn's past divorce, saying, "I was flustered and shocked because you just showed up suddenly without telling me anything beforehand."

She continued, "Even though people say divorce isn't a flaw these days, a parent's heart doesn't feel that way. It's best if you live well together, but... at the same time, I couldn't help but think, 'How much she must have struggled to make that choice,'" expressing her heartache for her daughter.

In response, Lyn promised, "Mom, I'll live an even better life." Her mother then showed her trust in her daughter, saying, "I know. Mom believes in you."

On this day, Lyn brought up "Mother's Dream," one of her songs that her mother likes the most. Her mother said, "But every time you sing that song, you cry, so I feel bad for you on one hand, even while liking it."

Hearing this, Lyn shared her true feelings, saying, "When I was writing the lyrics for this song, I sent Mom a text message. I asked, 'Mom, what is your dream?' and you said it was for us to be healthy and happy. So I asked you again what your dream was, and you said you had never thought about it. At that moment, I felt touched realizing that Mom's dream as a mother was simply my happiness."

She then performed an impromptu rendition of "Mother's Dream" exclusively for her mother, touching the hearts of the viewers.
