A video of a teenager filmed inside a police car has sparked controversy. What is it about?
Yes, a video titled "Teens Whose Arrests Have Become Content on Social Media" was recently uploaded to a YouTube channel.
In the video, a student not only hurls severe profanities at a police officer who asked for their age, but also continues making threatening remarks, saying, "I will target all of your parents, too," even after being told to quiet down.
The student, who revealed they were born in 2012, may fall under the category of a juvenile offender exempt from criminal punishment if their birthday has not yet passed.
Under current laws, minors aged 10 to under 14 receive protective dispositions under the Juvenile Act instead of criminal punishment.
According to the Ministry of Justice, 12.3% of those subject to such protective dispositions commit crimes again, showing a recidivism rate more than three times higher than that of adults.
