Seo Gyo-rim has claimed her third victory of the season on the KLPGA Tour, pulling off a comeback against her same-age rival born in 2006, Kim Min-sol, who had led until the previous day.

Starting the final round in fourth place, three strokes behind the leader Kim Min-sol, Seo mounted a fierce chase by picking up five birdies without a single bogey through the 11th hole.

The match was thrown into turmoil on the par-5 14th hole when Kim Min-sol made a crucial mistake.

After her tee shot went deep into the woods on the right, she declared an unplayable lie and took a one-stroke penalty, ultimately recording a double bogey and handing the lead over to Seo Gyo-rim.

Seo sealed the win by sinking a 5-meter birdie putt on the final 18th hole.

Finishing with a tournament total of 18-under-par and beating Kim by two strokes, Seo grabbed her third win of the season to tie with Kim for first place in the multiple-win category, while moving to sole possession of first place in the Player of the Year points standings.
