Steping up as the leadoff hitter in the fourth inning, Lee hit a single to center field, and with the team's batting lineup exploding, he did not miss his second turn in the same fourth inning, adding another single to left field.

Having gone hitless in his previous three consecutive games, Lee completed a multi-hit game in just a single inning, raising his season batting average to .293.

Meanwhile, St. Louis's Baez became the first player in Major League Baseball history to hit home runs in three consecutive plate appearances during his debut, announcing the birth of a monster rookie.

Drawing a 137-meter two-run arch to center field in his first plate appearance in the first inning, Baez blasted back-to-back home runs over the left-field wall in his second plate appearance, and pushed an off-speed pitch for a home run in his third plate appearance to complete three consecutive home-run-hitting plate appearances.
