It will be difficult to see clear skies throughout the holiday period.

Currently, you can see the skies over Seoul beside me.

The weather is heavily overcast, and rain is falling as the bands alternate between heavy and light.

Looking at the current radar imagery, rain clouds are moving eastward, bringing precipitation mainly to the capital area, eastern regions, and Jeju.

In Tongyeong, where a band of intense red rain clouds is positioned, heavy rain of over 50mm per hour is pouring down.

Consequently, heavy rain warnings and advisories have been issued for parts of South Gyeongsang, eastern South Jeolla, and the mountainous areas of Jeju.

The rain is expected to continue through tomorrow, which is the last day of the holiday.

Looking at the expected precipitation, light amounts of 5mm to as much as 50mm are forecasted for the central regions, 10mm up to 80mm for the Honam region, over 100mm for North Gyeongsang, up to 150mm for South Gyeongsang, over 200mm for the southern coast of South Gyeongsang, and torrential rain exceeding 150mm for the mountainous areas of Jeju.

While the rain will frequently experience lulls in the central regions, heavy and intense downpours will be concentrated in the southern areas, so thorough preparations must be made to prevent damage.

The rain will gradually taper off by tomorrow afternoon.

Even after the rain stops, sudden showers may occur in various places.

Tomorrow morning will start with temperatures at 24°C (75°F) in Seoul and 23°C (73°F) in Daegu.

Daytime highs are expected to reach 31°C (88°F) in Seoul and 28°C (82°F) in Daegu, similar to today.

The heat is expected to return once the rain clears.
