At around 9:00 a.m. today (August 16), a tourist bus crashed into the central median flowerbed and tipped over onto its right side near the Neuljae Tunnel on National Route 38 in Ssangyong-ri, Hanbando-myeon, Yeongwol-gun, Gangwon Province.

The accident left one passenger with serious injuries, who was subsequently transported to a hospital.

Seventeen others, including the bus driver and passengers, sustained minor injuries, with some of them also being taken to the hospital.

Police are currently investigating the exact cause of the accident.
