Today at approximately 11:43 a.m., a man in his 60s, identified as A, collapsed while performing welding work on the mixing drum of a ready-mix concrete truck at a cement factory in Dong-haMyeon, Jangseong-gun, South Jeolla Province.

A was transported to a nearby hospital in a state of cardiac arrest, but ultimately passed away.

Police believe that A was electrocuted while working inside the rotating mixing drum—designed to prevent concrete from hardening—and are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
