At around 1:30 PM today (August 15), a van driving along Pyeonghwa-ro in Aewol-eup, Jeju, crashed into a curb.

Four of the nine passengers on board were injured in the accident and transported to a nearby hospital.

After the passengers evacuated, a fire broke out in the vehicle and was extinguished by firefighters who arrived at the scene in about 30 minutes.

Police are currently investigating the exact cause of the accident.
