A pedestrian in their 80s, identified as A, suffered cardiac arrest after being struck by a moving SUV on a road near an intersection in Seongsu-myeon, Jinan-gun, Jeollabuk-do, at around 5:10 a.m. today (August 15).

Person A, who collapsed on the road, was transported to a hospital by 119 emergency services in a state of cardiac arrest.

Police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident involving the driver.
