A blackout struck the Seogyo-dong area in Mapo-gu, Seoul, at around 6:50 PM today (August 14) after a piece of scaffolding made contact with a high-voltage power line.

The accident cut off electricity to 251 households, causing inconvenience for residents during the summer season.

Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) announced that it completed initial restoration for some of the power at around 7:40 PM today and finished the full recovery work at 10:40 PM.
