At around 8:40 PM today (August 14), a woman was found dead on a 5-lane one-way road in Maewol-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju.

Firefighters who arrived at the scene confirmed that the woman was already dead and handed her body over to the police.

Based on the condition of the body, the police believe she was likely struck by a vehicle and are investigating her exact identity and the circumstances surrounding her death.
