An incident occurred in Cheongdo, Gyeongsangbuk-do, where an elderly man in his 80s brandished a weapon at a senior center, injuring two people.

According to police and fire authorities, at 11:40 AM today (August 14), a man in his 80s, identified as A, wielded a weapon against neighbors at a senior center in Punggok-myeon, Cheongdo-gun.

As a result, two individuals—B, in his 80s, and C, in his 60s—sustained serious and minor injuries, respectively, and were transported to a hospital.

It has been reported that their lives are not currently in danger.

The police apprehended A at the scene on charges of attempted murder and are investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
