Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, who has repeatedly emphasized the need for housing supply, met with young people and stated that he will ensure they do not have to leave Seoul because of housing. He also criticized that for the government's housing supply measures announced yesterday (the 13th) to be effective, a review of existing policies, including taxes, is necessary.

Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon visited a Youth Safety Housing site in Guro-gu.

Youth Safety Housing is a Seoul Metropolitan Government project that provides station-area housing to homeless young people and newlyweds at rents lower than market rates. As of the end of July this year, 101 locations and approximately 33,000 units have been completed.

After listening to young people's concerns about monthly rent burdens and saving for homes, Mayor Oh stated, "We will make sure that housing does not become the reason young people leave Seoul."

Emphasizing housing supply through private sectors and urban maintenance projects such as reconstruction and redevelopment, Mayor Oh also directed criticism toward the government.

He argued that for the government's housing supply measures announced yesterday to take effect, a reassessment of existing real estate policies, including tax reforms, is required.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that to stabilize youth housing, it will supply 74,000 youth-tailored housing units and provide housing expense support to 250,000 young people by 2030.

Yangcheon-gu announced that it is officially launching a program starting this month to view the Han River cruise fireworks show from the Yongwangsan Skywalk.

This program, which began on the 1st of this month, will also be held at 8:25 PM on the 20th of this month, and schedules for September onwards will be posted on the district office website on the 20th of every month.

Yangcheon-gu stated that it will continue to build distinctive tourism resources linking the Yongwangsan Skywalk and the Sinmokdong Station waterside revitalization hub.
