A man in his 50s was apprehended by police after a pursuit early this morning in Incheon after refusing to comply with a drunk driving crackdown and fleeing the scene.

The Incheon Nonhyeon Police Station announced that it chased and caught a man in his 50s who, at around 12:40 a.m. today near the Nonhyeon Station intersection in Namdong-gu, Incheon, refused to stop for a sobriety test, rammed a police officer and a patrol car in succession, and fled.

According to police investigations, the man's blood alcohol concentration at the time was at a level subject to license revocation.

Police pursued the man for about 800 meters, arrested him at the scene, and slapped him with charges of drunk driving and special obstruction of official duties.
