Paris Baguette announced on August 14 that it will raise the prices of a total of 127 items, including 86 types of bread and 41 types of cakes and desserts, by an average of 5.0% starting on the 25th.
Based on the recommended retail prices for major items, the "Sangmi-jong Fresh Bread" will increase from 3,900 won to 4,100 won, up 5.1%; the "Castella" will rise from 2,400 won to 2,500 won, up 4.2%; and the "My Number One Cake" will go up from 35,000 won to 36,000 won, up 2.9%.
This marks Paris Baguette's first price hike in 1 year and 6 months, following its previous increase in February of last year.
Paris Baguette explained, "We inevitably had to adjust the prices due to rising raw material costs and various other operational expenses."
Previously, BR Korea, an affiliate of Paris Croissant which operates Paris Baguette, raised the prices of 39 Dunkin' items by an average of 6.5% starting on the 2nd. Tous les Jours, operated by CJ Foodville, also raised the recommended retail prices of 76 products by an average of 8.2% starting on July 31.
