Following reports that U.S. President Donald Trump secretly rode inside a catering container to transfer from his presidential aircraft to a military plane last month to avoid an assassination threat from Iran, Iranian media outlets have extensively highlighted memes mocking the incident.

Iranian media reported that memes ridiculing a frightened President Trump using manipulated images and artificial intelligence (AI)-generated videos are spreading across social media.

Various memes were featured in Iranian outlets, including one showing President Trump crouching in the cargo bed of a truck carrying Middle Eastern kebabs, and another depicting him hiding with a terrified expression inside a food cart of a European low-cost airline.

On the 12th, Iran's Mizan News Agency described President Trump's "secret operation" as a "coward's escape," adding that it has become "the laughingstock of foreign internet users."

The Iranian Embassy in South Africa also posted on X (formerly Twitter) combining a photo of President Trump resolutely raising his fist after surviving an assassination attempt during a 2024 campaign rally with a manipulated image of him hiding inside a catering cart, alongside the caption, "Brave American hero or coward hiding in a catering truck?"
