Actor Kim Hye-soo shared her calm and steady perspective regarding the uncertain release status of her starring project "Signal 2".
During a press interview for the Coupang Play series "The Affair Was Just the Beginning" held at a cafe in Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 13th, Kim Hye-soo showed a cool reaction when asked about the scheduling difficulties facing the tvN drama "Signal 2".
"Signal 2", which was scheduled to air this year, has seen its release status become uncertain after lead actor Cho Jin-woong admitted to his past history of juvenile protective disposition and announced his retirement from the entertainment industry.
Regarding this, Kim Hye-soo said, "My natural disposition is to focus only on that exact moment and think that it is no longer mine afterward. Therefore, I am not greatly shaken by what happens next," adding, "As a human being, there is a sense of regret left, but my role is to do my absolute best on set with what I have prepared so that I have no regrets."
She continued, "What comes next is not my domain. Because of the results, I don't lose confidence just because I worked hard, nor do I gain excessive confidence just because things went well by luck," sharing her deep philosophy on acting by stating, "Choosing the script and working hard on set is as far as my job goes. I don't become disheartened if a project fails at the box office, nor do I get overly excited when it does well."
Meanwhile, Kim Hye-soo is receiving favorable reviews for her bold acting transformation as the successful influencer Gyeong-hee in the currently streaming Coupang Play series "The Affair Was Just the Beginning". She has expressed the energy of a character striving to keep her family grounded amidst a chain of chaotic events, using her signature charm alongside striking visuals and tones.
"The Affair Was Just the Beginning", planned for a total of eight episodes, has currently released up to episode 4, with new episodes releasing sequentially every Friday at 8 p.m. on Coupang Play.
