A fire broke out at an asphalt manufacturing plant in Gwanghyewon-myeon, Jincheon-gun, North Chungcheong Province, at around 1:30 PM today (August 13), prompting fire authorities to issue a Level 1 response and conduct firefighting operations.

A man in his 60s sustained burns in the fire and was transported to a hospital, though his injuries are reportedly not life-threatening.

Fire authorities plan to investigate the exact cause of the fire and the scale of the property damage once the flames are fully extinguished.
