This is the candidate running in the by-election in Clacton, southeastern England, known as Count Binface.

He walks around wearing a trash can-shaped bucket mask on his face.

Even his reason for running is unusual.

[Binface / UK By-election Candidate : I am the center of the galaxy and the rest of you are like minor planets orbiting around me.]

However, his words carry sharp meaning in a Q&A with an American journalist.

[Binface / UK By-election Candidate : Am I making a mockery of [politics]? You're an American. Look at your president. Who's making a mockery? I don't claim elections were rigged, I don't go to the Capitol on January 6th, and I certainly don't start riots.]

In fact, Binface is the stage name of comedian Jon Harvey.

He volunteered to run as a direct opponent after Nigel Farage, leader of the right-wing Reform UK party, resigned his parliamentary seat in his constituency of Clacton and ran again to break through a political funding controversy.

Although his pledges are eccentric,

He is drawing attention by satirizing Farage's visits to the United States to meet Donald Trump.

Binface has previously run in the constituencies of former Prime Ministers Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak in past elections.

Although he garnered less than 1 percent of the vote each time, he is known to raise significant donations amid high interest.

The results of the Clacton by-election will come out tonight or tomorrow morning, Korea time.
