South Korea Women's Volleyball Team Defeats Hong Kong to Reach Semifinals as Group Leaders

The South Korean women's national volleyball team (ranked 28th globally), led by head coach Cha Sang-hyun, has advanced to the semifinals as the top team of their group after securing their second consecutive win in the group stage of the East Asian Women's Volleyball Championship.

In their second Group A match against host nation Hong Kong (ranked 113th) held today at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Hong Kong, the national team triumphed with a set score of 3 to 0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-22).

Having decisively defeated both Mongolia and Hong Kong without dropping a single set, South Korea will play against the runner-up of Group B in the semifinals on the 15th.

Lee Ye-rim led the victory by scoring a match-high 13 points, while Park Eun-jin contributed 10 points, including 4 blocks.
