With their rising momentum, the lowest-ranked team in the group, Algeria, was no match for the national team.

Ace Son Seo-yeon dominated the first set alone by scoring 6 points to easily seize control. From the second set, as key players like Son Seo-yeon were given a rest, the backup players soared.

Delivering unstoppable powerful hits and performing passionate celebrations, they secured a clean 3-0 sweep victory.

Having claimed the top spot in Group D with 5 wins and no losses, South Korea will face Group B's fourth-place team, the Philippines, tomorrow (August 13) for a ticket to the quarterfinals.

The driving force behind the sensation brought by the South Korean volleyball girls is their tight-knit, one-team teamwork.

Having conquered the Asian Championship last November, the national team meticulously prepared for this tournament through a short-term training stint in Italy and two rounds of boot camp training, completing customized tactics to overcome their physical disadvantage.
