The South Korean government announced today (August 12) that it will provide 1 million dollars, approximately 1.416 billion won, in humanitarian aid to support recovery efforts in Colombia following a strong earthquake.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the assistance is scheduled to be delivered through international organizations operating locally.

The ministry stated, "We hope this support will contribute to the recovery of the affected areas and help residents swiftly return to their daily lives."

A 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck Colombia on the 10th, local time, resulting in over 200 deaths.
