Actor Park So-dam is filling this summer with consecutive film releases.

Park will meet audiences back-to-back, starting with the animated film "Underdog" on the 19th, followed by the movie "The Journey to Gyeongju" on the 26th. Having demonstrated a wide acting spectrum by moving across different genres and characters, Park is continuing her active streak this summer ranging from voice acting to feature films.

First, in "Underdog," she lent her voice to Bami, a girl-crush character who escapes from a dog farm, helping to flesh out the character's vivid emotions and personality. "Underdog" is a touching adventure animation about a stray dog named Moongchi (played by Do Kyung-soo) whose destiny changes overnight, as he sets out to find true freedom alongside friends with various stories, such as street survival master Jjang-a (played by Park Chul-min) and Bami, who escaped from a dog farm. The film is gearing up for a re-release as a 4K newly mastered version of "Underdog," which has been recognized at numerous film festivals.

Then on the 26th, she will face audiences with the movie "The Journey to Gyeongju." "The Journey to Gyeongju" is a family revenge drama about four mothers and daughters who set out on a deadly trip after eight years of waiting for Gyeongju, their youngest daughter who never returned from a school trip. Park So-dam takes on the role of Young-ju, the second daughter of Ok-shil (played by Lee Jung-eun), bringing energy to the plot with realistic logic and sharp facts. She is expected to portray a character where a sense of powerlessness and cold rationality coexist in a three-dimensional way through her signature dense acting. Attention is focused on what kind of charm Park, who has engraved her unrivaled presence in major works each time, will show through the character of Young-ju.

In particular, on the day of its release, she will also attend the "Deadly GV Part 2" event held at Lotte Cinema World Tower. This GV was arranged after Park So-dam personally proposed a meeting with Director Bong Joon-ho, setting up a special time for the two, who worked together in "Parasite," to reunite and discuss their work.

As it was brought to fruition through Park So-dam's active initiative, this meeting adds meaning beyond a simple GV, marking another continuation of the bond between the actor and the director. With Director Kim Mi-jo, Lee Jung-eun, Kong Hyo-jin, Lee Yeon, and even Director Bong Joon-ho gathering in one place, film fans' interest in the meaningful reunion brought about directly by Park So-dam is growing even higher.

Meanwhile, Park's scope of activities has extended beyond the screen. Recently, she took on her first barrier-free film narration challenge by participating in the audio description recording for the barrier-free version of "Conclave," which is produced so that people with visual and hearing impairments can enjoy films without barriers. She has also communicated with the public through friendly charms on various variety programs.
