Police have launched an investigation after a post claiming that explosives were planted at correctional facilities was uploaded online.

At around 12:30 AM today (August 12), a post was published on an online community stating, "I have planted explosives at three correctional facilities. I will detonate them at 1:00 PM tomorrow."

The Ansan Sangnok Police Station in Gyeonggi Province notified the correctional facilities targeted in the threat. According to self-inspections conducted by the facilities, no explosives have been found so far.

Police are currently tracking down the author of the threatening post.
