Police have launched an investigation after an online post claimed that explosives had been planted at correctional facilities.

At around 12:30 a.m. today (August 12), a post was uploaded to an online community stating, "I have planted explosives at three correctional facilities. They will detonate at 1:00 p.m. tomorrow (August 13)."

The Ansan Sangnok Police Station in Gyeonggi Province notified the correctional facilities targeted in the threat. According to internal inspections conducted by the facilities, no explosives have been found so far.

Police are currently tracking down the author of the threatening post.
