Police are investigating an online post claiming that explosives have been planted at correctional facilities.

According to the Gyeonggi Ansan Sangnok Police Station today (August 12), a post appeared on an online community at 12:30 AM today, stating, "I have planted explosives at three correctional facilities and will detonate them at 1:00 PM tomorrow."

Police notified the correctional facilities targeted in the post of the situation.

The correctional facilities contacted each conducted their own inspections, but no suspicious signs, such as explosives, have been found so far.

Police are tracking the unidentified author of the post.
