An 80-year-old woman, identified as A, was pulled from the Jungnangcheon Stream in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, in a state of cardiac arrest at around 4:30 PM today (August 11).

A was rescued by firefighters who were dispatched following a report from a passerby, and was transported to a nearby hospital while in cardiac arrest.

Authorities are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.
