Actor Kim Eui-sung made a strong impression by delivering a flawless multi-role performance in a special appearance on "Flex X Cop 2".
Kim Eui-sung appeared as multiple characters, including Jang Myung-jun, the father of TV documentary "Special List" assistant director Jang Hyun-woo (played by Eom Jun-ki), as well as Jang Deuk-su, Jang Geon-guk, and Jang Jong-guk, in the first episode of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama "Flex X Cop 2" (written by Kim Ba-da, directed by Kim Jae-hong) which premiered on the 7th.
Following his special appearance in the first episode of season 1, Kim Eui-sung opened the second season by playing Jang Myung-jun, a character who meets his end after leaving his son Jang Hyun-woo with a story tied to Jin Yi-soo's (Ahn Bo-hyun) family home and tales of a hidden treasure. Believing his father's dying words, the son Jang Hyun-woo even planted a bomb while searching for the treasure, but it was revealed that the truth was not wealth, but documents and evidence of pro-Japanese activities by the Jang family ancestors.
During this process, Kim Eui-sung directly played past characters Jang Deuk-su, Jang Geon-guk, and Jang Jong-guk, injecting a humorous twist into an otherwise potentially heavy sequence of events. His unexpected multi-role appearance delivered the fun of a plot twist and heightened immersion in the drama.
Kim Eui-sung also shared his thoughts on his connection with director Kim Jae-hong. He stated, "I like director Kim Jae-hong very much, so I've always found it meaningful to work with him on various projects. I am glad to join 'Flex X Cop 2' as a special appearance as well, and it was a joy to be part of such a great production."
Meanwhile, the SBS Friday-Saturday drama "Flex X Cop 2", which kicked off with a cooperative investigation between Ahn Bo-hyun and Jung Eun-chae, airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM.
