K League 1 professional football club Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors announced on August 11 that they have signed Brazilian attacking midfielder Dodo.
Born in 2001, Dodo developed through the youth systems of Brazil's Santos and Ferroviaria, and has previously played for Brazilian clubs such as Goias, Vila Nova, Ponte Preta, and Nautico.
During the 2025 season with Vila Nova in Brazil's Serie B (second division), he recorded 3 goals and 4 assists in 44 matches. This year, while playing on loan for Nautico, he posted 5 goals and 2 assists in 16 matches.
Jeonbuk introduced him by stating, "Dodo actively exploits spaces between opposing defenders based on his speed and agile movement. He is a multi-player capable of playing not only as his primary position of attacking midfielder but also as a left and right winger."
The club added, "We pursued his signing by highly rating his potential and growth capacity. By fully acquiring a young attacking resource who has proven his competitiveness in the Brazilian stage, we also aim to strengthen our squad for the mid-to-long term. We expect him to inject new vitality into the team's attack."
Through the club, Dodo shared his thoughts, saying, "I know that Jeonbuk is a tremendous club, and I am happy and honored to join such a team. As I begin a new challenge, I want to show my abilities to the team and fans as soon as possible. I will become a player who helps the team win the championship."
