Carefully aiming at the target and gripping his pistol is So Seung-sub, born in 1978, the eldest member of the national team.

After first holding a gun as a fifth grader in elementary school, he has stood at the shooting range for 37 years. While he helped junior legends who have now retired, such as Jin Jong-oh and Lee Dae-myung, grow, this upcoming Asian Games will be his very first international multi-sport competition.

[So Seung-sub / National Shooting Team Member: I tend to get quite nervous, and I think I got a bit too nervous during finals, international competition finals...]

The driving force behind his improved skills as he approaches the age of 50 is his middle school son, who followed in his father's footsteps to become a shooting athlete.

[So Seung-sub / National Shooting Team Member: I think there was a huge desire to show my son a more admirable father. Because of that, I was able to focus even more...]

With the passage of time, sorrowful physical changes have also found him.

[So Seung-sub / National Shooting Team Member: Over the past two to three years, presbyopia started to set in, and my smartphone is getting farther and farther away. Now, I wear shooting glasses while competing...]

Right now, So Seung-sub, who is facing the greatest moment of his life, is full of confidence.

[So Seung-sub / National Shooting Team Member: Having done shooting for 37 years, I am currently hitting my career high, so I think (competing until I turn sixty) will be more than doable.]

Joining forces with niece-like juniors such as Paris Olympics three-gold-medalist Ban Hyojin, Oh Ye-jin, and Yang Ji-in, So Seung-sub is determined to lead the way in ringing out "golden shots" as the eldest brother of the shooting team targeting five gold medals.

[So Seung-sub / National Shooting Team Member: Just thinking about that overwhelming emotion brings tears to my eyes, but if I actually get up there, I think I will burst into tears.]
