Police investigating allegations of irregularities in the appointment of former national football team head coach Hong Myung-bo have announced that they will review whether they can also investigate the recently surfaced Korean Football Association (KFA) "referee sexual entertainment" scandal.

An official from the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency stated today (August 10) regarding the potential investigation into the sexual entertainment scandal, "If we launch an investigation, we will review the matter," adding, "We have not launched an investigation yet."

The official stated, "It seems necessary to review prosecution requirements and other details, but we have not yet verified the specific contents," indicating that basic investigation requirements, including the statute of limitations, have not yet been determined.
