Singer Han Dong-keun has joined hands with Brand New Music once again.

Han previously worked as an artist under Brand New Music for about five years from 2019 to 2024, and after the expiration of his exclusive contract, he continued his activities by establishing an independent label. Through this renewal, he is returning to Brand New Music after 5 years.

Starting with his debut song "Making a New Ending for This Novel," Han has worked closely with Rhymer, the head of Brand New Music, for 12 years. It is reported that he decided on this renewal based on the trust built over the years. Starting with the contract renewal, he plans to meet listeners with even deeper music.

As his first activity after returning, Han will release a remake single reinterpreting I.O.I's representative song "Downpour" with his own unique sensibility on August 18. "Downpour" is an iconic ballad by I.O.I that has been loved for a long time for its lyrical melody and affectionate lyrics.

This remake is a project that officially presents the performance that received great love at the time as a new official sound source. Han plans to maintain the sensibility of the original song while adding even deeper vocals and delicate expressive power.

In particular, this release adds meaning as it is Han's first official music activity since renewing his contract with Brand New Music. The two have created numerous hit songs together in the past, such as "Amazing You," "Crazy," and "Relationship," raising expectations for the musical synergy through this reunion.

Meanwhile, Han Dong-keun's remake single "Downpour" will be released through various online music sites at 6:00 PM on August 18.
