▲ Blue skies and white clouds contrast over downtown Seoul on the 9th, as the heatwave has subsided somewhat.

Although the intense heat has eased slightly following Ipchu (the onset of autumn), hot weather with temperatures still exceeding average levels is expected to continue today, Monday (August 10).

Today's morning lows are projected to range from 21°C to 26°C (70°F to 79°F), and daytime highs from 27°C to 34°C (81°F to 93°F).

For the time being, temperatures will remain higher than average, with scorching heat and tropical nights persisting across most parts of the country, requiring special attention to health management.

Until this morning, some areas in the eastern coastal and mountainous regions of Gangwon Province, the Gyeongsang region, and Jeju Island will experience rain.

Expected rainfall is around 5mm in the eastern coastal and mountainous regions of Gangwon, Busan, Daegu, and Jeju.
