It has been reported that the plans to produce a US adaptation of the drama "Squid Game" have fallen through.

Recently, local entertainment media outlets reported that Netflix has decided not to move forward with the US version of "Squid Game."

Previously, there were rumors that a US remake of "Squid Game" titled "Heckler" was in the works and that filming would take place this year.

In particular, the final episode of "Squid Game Season 3" featured Hollywood actor Cate Blanchett playing ddakji in a back alley of Los Angeles, which had fueled expectations for the possibility of a US version.

However, due to executive changes at Netflix and shifting business priorities, the company has reportedly decided to place more emphasis on planning diverse content tailored to the characteristics of individual countries rather than spin-off works.
