In the match against Italy, which was essentially a battle for first place in Group D as both teams entered with two wins and no losses, our players seized the initiative from the start.

Eo Min-seo opened the fire.

After boosting the team's morale with a lucky service ace followed by a lively celebration, she successfully gained the upper hand by continuously driving in spikes.

Main attacker Son Seo-yeon took over the baton.

She raised the momentum by scoring six points in the second set alone, featuring high-point spikes and quick attacks that shook the opponent's defense.

Although we gave up the third set to Italy's counterattack, the triangular formation of Son Seo-yeon, Eo Min-seo, and Jang Soo-in gathered strength once again.

They drove in spikes from both left and right, collapsing the opponent's defense with catch-off-guard attacks.

When Son Seo-yeon put an end to the match with a powerful spike, the players held hands and spun around to enjoy their joy.

Son Seo-yeon scored a match-high 23 points and Eo Min-seo added 17, combining for 40 points as the national team defeated Italy 3 to 1 to rise to first place in the group with three consecutive wins, practically securing their ticket to the round of 16 given to the top four teams.

[Interview / Jang Soo-in / U17 Girls' Volleyball National Team : I'm so thankful to my teammates that we achieved this joyful victory of three wins. We will win all the remaining matches as well, achieve great results, and return to Korea.]

Our national team will aim for their fourth consecutive win against the Dominican Republic the day after tomorrow (the 11th).
