Police are tracking the author of an online post threatening a bomb attack at Yeouido Hangang Park in Seoul.

The Seoul Seongbuk Police Station announced today (August 9) that it is tracking the person who uploaded a bomb threat post through a broadcasting station website.

According to reports, the post claimed that a bomb had been planted near Hangang Park and demanded a total of 10 million won be deposited into a specific account.

Police have launched a preliminary investigation on charges including public intimidation and deployed a police commando unit to the Hangang Park area to check whether any explosives were actually planted.
