We have seen record-breaking heat day after day. Starting today, however, the intense heat will ease off a bit.

While it won't be the extreme heat nearing 40°C (104°F), sweltering conditions equivalent to a heatwave warning will persist.

Heatwave warnings remain in effect primarily for western regions, including Seoul, while heatwave advisories are issued for other areas.

Today, daytime highs are expected to reach 34°C (93°F) in Seoul and 35°C (95°F) in Jeonju.

Meanwhile, the east coast regions, influenced by easterly winds, will see temperatures in Gangneung hover at 26°C (79°F).

Although the extreme heat has subsided slightly, sweltering weather around 34°C (93°F) will continue throughout this week.

Meanwhile, rain is currently falling along the east coast due to the influence of Typhoon Dolphin heading toward China.

This rain will intermittently continue through tomorrow.

Expected precipitation ranges from a minimum of 5 mm to a maximum of 60 mm.

Mainly in inland areas where it does not rain, shower clouds will frequently develop.

Heading toward the latter half of the week, more rain is forecasted for the Yeongdong region.
