A fire that broke out at a steel manufacturing plant in Busan was fully extinguished after overnight firefighting operations lasting approximately 10 hours.
The Busan Metropolitan Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced that the fire, which started at 6:49 PM yesterday (August 8) in a scrap metal storage warehouse inside a steel manufacturing plant in Gupyeong-dong, Saha-gu, Busan, was completely put out at 5:38 AM today.
Fire authorities issued a Level 1 response at around 6:30 PM on the day of the fire, deploying 143 personnel and 50 pieces of equipment to the scene, and managed to bring the major flames under control after about 5 hours.
No casualties have been reported so far.
